This view of Čakovec comes from the work «Das Ehemals gedrückte von Turken» published in Frankfurt and Leipzig in 1688. It was drawn after earlier examples. Martin Stier made an almost identical view in 1660. It shows the town of Čakovec within its defence fortifications with four bastions and three half integrated towers surrounded by a moat. Pauline Čakovec manor house is the only that stands above the town’s contours. The author was primarily focused on the representation of the defence system of the town what is understandable if we consider the war atmosphere at the tame the map was produced.
