This is a redrawn of Sanson's map of Dalmatia of 1664 (ref. catalogue No. 39). From the model map differs only by its graphic design. Below the representation of the Republic of Dubrovnik there is a note with information on political and geographic situation of the Republic of Dubrovnik. The title is shown in the lower left corner of the map in a baroque cartouche. A mileage scale is in Italian miles (Milles d'Italia) and in French miles (Kieues communes de France).
