This is a decorative view of the siege of Petrinja of 1596 from the historical work „Chronologia oder Historische Beschreibung... Ungern“ by Hieronymus Ortel. This work, along with numerous portraits of kings, grandees and generals, and views of Hungarian towns and forts, includes the views of Petrinja, Sisak, Belgrade and Vienna. The view is a very realistic representation of the fortress of Petrinja on the Kupa River and the crossing of the Turkish army across the river. There is a legend from the letters A to O situated in the right corner.
